It all started with a real blind date, then marriage, that became a musical journey that Holly and Joe invite you to share.   While the “classics” in jazz, blues, country, rock, or who knows what often capture their hearts, this duo loves looking at them from a fresh perspective, as well as finding that unusual jewel and making it shine. It's why Blind Date is "Not Your Standard Cover Band," and what makes each Blind Date performance eclectic, unexpected, and ... fun.

Live Session

To the right, a tribute to Dolly Parton:  "Jolene," performed at Moosestock VII on Lake Raponda, Vermont, by Holly Fortner, Eithne Eldred, Evon Mack, Joe Fortner, and Mike Eldred.    Thank you, Dolly.

It's been a whirl-wind August, and we want to thank all the venues which hosted us, and everyone who listened to our music.  We truly appreciate all of you, and hope you enjoyed it.  If so, please let others (including places you'd like to see us play) know.

Coming up in September, we'll be in the Crossville area:

  • September 6.  We are making our Bristow Road Winery debut on Sunday, from 2 to 4 PM.   We'll be bringing our mix of jazz, blues, oldies, and more to enhance what promises to be a relaxing Labor Day Weekend Sunday.

  • September 9.  We're back at the Art Circle Public Library with a "Moosestock Preview" concert.  Join us for some fun moosic, which may stretch what you often hear from us.  Admission is free, and we're playing from 12 to 1 PM.

  • September 12 .  MOOSESTOCK XI.   Our 11th Annual evening of music and fun, where we set up to the water (Lake Dartmoor) and play while the sun is setting.   Starting at 5:30 p.m., we'll be playing a wide range of material that we hope will flow your (pontoon) boat.  And, if you'd prefer to stay on dry land, bring a lawn chair or two and hang out on our lawn. The event is at 13 Hampton Point in Fairfield Glade and everyone is invited.  There is no admission.   (Rain date is 9/15 @ 5 p.m.)

  • September 20.  We'll be joining our four and two legged friends again at Ales & Tails Dog Park and Bar on Old Lantana Road in Crossville.  Music is from 2 to 4 PM; join us for a fun afternoon of brews, music, and pups.

As always, if you are interested in us playing for you, your venue, or your event, please contact us.  We'd love to hear from you.
